River level predicted by National Weather Service to be nearly five feet lower than predicted a few days ago. Per Channel 2 FOX News 9:18 am.

Oh, oh, wait, what's that? Where's all the people accusing me of being a whiner and all that. What do the pits at the track look like?

this is the road to the track yesterday it has came up a little from that this morning

The condition of the race track has nothing to do with grown men whinning just to whine. If it wasn't about not having the races it would and will be about something else. Sad that some people seem to spend their time like that. There are so many things in life we all have to be thankful for instead of whinning about what we don't have or like.

Moonflow I won't bash you but let's be real about this. The road started getting water on it Sat evening before it got dark. I drove by Sunday morning the city had signs up not to cross water road closed. Water was all the way across the road and quite a bit at that. The claims or predictions of flooding is typically correct. The water is still rising. Heck the golf course by your house is flooded big time have you driven down Tenbrook to take a look? The water was up big time on 61 -67 by the bridge on Sunday as well. Prediction ( you don't like ) is it will still rise. As we speak right now there is no way to get into the track. NO WAY ! Even the back way is flooded..... They can't get in to the office and they can't get in to work the track. Not sure when they can. The grass fields that houses most of the people who travel to the races will be saturated. NO WHERE to park everyone. That is if the water is off the grass by then. Ray keeps in touch with the Corp of Engineers of all PREDICTIONS..... The city has major issues if water is over the road and people are crossing it therefore I-55 could be fined for running a show and people crossing high waters and getting stuck or someone getting injured. Do promoters make the right calls always ? Heck no !!!!!! Now both ways in are flooded water is rising and it is 4 days away. How would you make this happen if you were a track promoter ???? How would or could you still promote this race? How can you as a promoter promise this race will go on ? Now your input would be appreciated. And for the record there is thousands of dollars already invested in this race that is lost by the track. No re coup! Lost . Promoters would love to race vs losing their shirts before the race even starts or don't.......

I like dirtgirls response. Hey it rained over one inch today and two inches north. Wonder what that will do to the levels?

Also more rain this week and next also. Sure wish you guys would go get your own track and see what it's like. Gotta make commitments to personnel rescue people and insurance as well as about ten other things. And that not on a woo show!

HAHAHA Moonflow asks for a picture and he gets one. Where is the response now? Looks like someone has to eat there words. Sit in the stands and watch the races and leave the decisions to the track bc they obviously know whats going on.

Once again, real useful there. Dirtgirl's response is much better, y'all should take some tips.

moonflow there are 3 other tracks running this weekend so you do have some choices to see some racing even tho it isn't the outlaws. If you want to see sprints (but not the outlaws) that bad I am sure you can find a track somewhere that will be running them. So you can stop whinning about the flood. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and say ok next time. Good move I-55 you and the Outlaws made the right call!!! Kudos Ray!

Tommy and all you others that feel its now safe to jump on the bandwagon and agree that it was a good decision, the fact remains, that pic is from TuesdaY..and there was not water over the road at 2am sunday morning and they COULD HAVE raced saturday and now the "predictions" are significantly less for this saturday so we'll see about that but dont go patting yourselves on the back bcuz youre still not any more right or wrong than anyone else. I went there and seen for myself. However, i agree dirtgirls response is far more intelligent than the rest and has some valid points. And im not on here taking personal shots at any promotor or track, just a little squawkin abt not getting to race so dont get so offended by my input people, its Forum!

Water is 1 1/2 feet higher this morning and will crest now Sunday from reports and that's if no more rain up north which is iffy at best. I'm not jumping on any bandwagon just stating facts

Last Saturday was canceled due to the rain just like Highland, Macon and many other Saturday night tracks canceled.

This is one of those threads that should be deleted. Two people continuing to spew the same ignorance over and over again. Its ridiculous. One of them can't even remember it was raining last Saturday, and the other one doesn't realize there is a better chance of monkeys flying out of his ass, than the track not being flooded by a river that hasn't even crested yet.

Seriously Jimmy. Make the pertinent information about the cancelation a sticky and lock it, then completely delete this thread.
