Fantastic tonight as always ,They sure had a lot of cars in all the classes. they put on a great show for us fans. A very humongous crowd, not knowing it was $ 5.00 night until we got there we asked why such a huge crowd, they told us it was appreciation night. WOW appreciation it was, :) The nickle race was so cool. all the kiddies sure enjoyed it and they should have, fabulous prizes 19 bicycles, game boys, go cart, motor cycle, motor scooter and numerous other prizes. Thanks for an enjoyable evening I 55. :) :) :)

The racing was good but if you were sitting on the backstretch you were in a dust storm. What happened to Worley in the 166 car he had a lot of damage in the front but I didnt see what he hit. He looked upset about something.

What an exceptional night at I-55 last night! Two weeks in a row with side by side racing in ALL classes! Congratulations to all feature winners, you all earned it. And what about the fan support, great crowd. Thanks to everyone who was involved in putting last night's show together, it was well worth the effort. ;)

:D Enjoyed my first trip to I-55! I loved the track, great for some exciting action. I wish it was closer to Central Illinois so I could go more but I will be back. I am just glad Matt Taylor was able to keep going after the tangle with the car pulling into the pits. Congrats Matt on the win. My 4 year old loved the nickel race. He got 26 nickels and three of them were green. Thanks Pevely for an enjoyable night.

i thought the racing ****ed,the track definatly was terrible slick here, tacky there, big cushion, rough! every time i decide to i-55 another chance the track is a piece of junk!anyone who enjoyed the racing is crazy!de3finatly not what the track is capable of,the last couple weeks when it was slick all the way around you could put a blanket over the top six cars! And the features went pretty much caution free and didnt cost the car owners a fortune like it did this week,(did aNYONE NOTICE 10 CARS FINISHING LM FEATURE) that stinks!I-55 needs to change their ways and work on track prep because the buzz in the pits is that cars are going elsewhere to find a track they can afford to run!

Not the first time I have been called crazy and probably not the last either...

People who are complaining about the track conditions....that track received over 2" of rain Friday night. Yeah, it was tacky and rough, but Marler wasn't sitting on his arse just watching. He seen the problem in turn 4, and brought out the razor roller and actually cut the track. Track conditions depend on the weather, and don't forget that the dirt isn't even a year old yet. They're getting things figured out, and the track, in my mind, was fantastic this weekend. Everyone says this and that, but when the facts come out, all the nay-sayers look like fools. Bottom line is.....I-55 is the best track in the area.

As for the track it's a crap shoot... Every week crap shoot. Ray and I talked before the races and he was indicating that the rains came last night when they were not suppose to. You see Pevely works the track more than just Saturday Morning. Any given time you drive by the odds of catching them out there are not to bad. Unless you pass the track 3-4 times aday  Any way he said it was worked and set then the UNEXPECTED rains came into the track. I believe the water truck was stuck Sat morning in the infield.. Rain can mess up things up a bit. And they have made bad calls before on the track prep but it's a learning time. The track I thought was fast. And some of the late models were driving over their heads. This can sometimes be the demise of the car counts when they get collected up..... But the track I thought come feature was in fairley good shape... I thought the cushion was gone by feature that's why there was wall banging!!! And if you like track conditions the same every week try asphalt... With dirt and mother nature it can be different every week.. What happened to trying to figure tracks out through out the night? Or do we need it the same from start to finish for the special people?

And good Luck in the quest for the perfect track because I believe EVERY TRACK AROUND has been bashed to a fair u well.... It's just go out there and pick the better of the worse

Dirt race tracks are like a box of chocolates ................ you never know what you'll get next. FG (Or, something like that.)

Though I can't speak for the entire area, Ray Marler and his crew at I-55 and Kurt Benedict and his helpers at Belle Clair really do "try their best" each week to make it good for the drivers but no matter what they do or how perfect the track is, somebody misses the set up or hits the only rough spot on the track or jumps the cushion going too fast and guess who gets blamed for a bad finish..........

It's dirt and it's outside in the weather where conditions change by the hour. I don't know of any special magic that can successfully deal with those elements on a consistent basis.

Sounds like a lot of cry babys to me. I dont see how you can expect track conditions to be perfect every night. What track has perfect conditions every night? none around here. If you dont like the way they are preping the track dont go! I dont know what drivers your talking about but one of the veterns I think your talking about damages his car by running into everybody on the track. Some people would find something to complain about in a room full of free money. I dont think anybody works harder at track prep than the people at I55.

Every other track in this area wishes they had I-55 speedway's "problems", so to speak.Get over it, it is dirt.I'll still be there Saturday.Along with all the real fans.

I agree with that Mizuri Dirt, it didnt look to rough during the modified dash with weber and walsh. How about the modified feature there weren't that many wrecks in that one.

If I remember right, the driver has to adjust to the changing track conditions.Like I said before this is DIRT RACING. I think this is one of the reasons we all love this sport so much. It is not the same old thing week after week. If you want the same old boring racing week in and week out, watch nascar.I'll be at Pevely.:D
