Keep the pill draw for the heats.Make it to at least third in your in the dash.Throw a good set up on your car win the dash......start front row pole for feature.Why you ask....because you earned it plain and simple. It just going to keep the racers running as hard as they can all night long.(crowd will love it)
exactly because you earned it and I totally agree it makes for a better show all night!!!
Bring the dash back and let the winner have lane choice for the Feature.Use group qualifying(transponders)to determine dash lineup.8 cars for 10 laps.Fastest starts on tail. How you finish determines the Feature lineup. No more pill draw or inverts.
If you group qualify for dash lineup with fastest starting on the tail your going to have 8 cars going about 10 miles per hour around the track.

Bring back Dashes
Pill draw for heats, heats determine dash lineup, dash goes back to what it was originally designed for "dash for cash" (not a huge amount but something worth racing for) then feature is lined up according to heats. (dash results are dash results and thats it. no effect on feature lineup) jmo.

Why not go back to when they inverted the top 12, then we would see just how good some of these drivers are.

the cream always rises to the top in other words same resullts
i do remember that and it made for som real good racing but since i am getting somewhat older refresh my memory did they even have dashs back then?

Take top 12 finishers from heat races (Top 3 from 4 heats, top 4 from 3 heats or top 6 from 2 heats)
Line those 12 up for the feature on previous 3 weeks point average. Lower point average in the front.
Driver that finishes in top 12 from heats and hasn't been there the previous 3 weeks starts 12th.
Line rest of feature up on the way they finished their heat or semi.
Now that should get everyone fired up!!!!

I like it, but the common fans will have no idea how and why people are starting where. This is already one of the main issues with the draw-passing points-redraw format. When the feature rolls out, promoters should take pride in the fact that the fans are informed!
