ABILENE, Texas (Oct. 11) – IMCA Modifieds race for $3,000 to win and a berth on the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, at Abilene Speedway’s Oct. 15-17 Ryan Bard Memorial Southern Challenge.
Total purse for the event is $75,000. The Modified feature pays a minimum of $650 to start.
Southwest Racing Specialties Southern SportMods race for $2,500 to win and $250 to start. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $2,000 to win and $300 to start and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $1,000 to win and $150 to start.
Features in each division will be 30 laps.
A practice session for all divisions will be held from 6-10 p.m. Thurs¬day, Oct. 14, with complimentary beverages, barbe¬cue and music at the party to follow.
Gates open at 3 p.m. Friday and racing starts at 7 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2 p.m. and racing begins at 6 p.m. Gates open at 11 a.m. and racing starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Pit passes are $25. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12, with five and under free.
