you have got to be kidding yourself, and don't get me wrong, I'm a Junior fan also but Gordon has more talent than Junior will ever dream of having. Start talking to me when Junior can jump in any kind of car on dirt and pavement and outrun Gordon. It won't happen.

didn't erndhardt sr drive a busch car for hendrick maybe for a few races?

At the news conference today the 1st question asked was "Will this hurt Nascar?" Hendrick answered, "no". In my opinion, yes!!!:eek:

They also mentioned something to the fact that Hendrick is like the owner of the New York Yankees. Having all the good players and money. Great comparison to me. :rolleyes:

As I mentioned in an earlier post, is it just me or is it hard to watch a full Nascar race anymore. Don't get me wrong, but it's just not the same. I used to make sure I was home every Saturday night/Sunday for the races, but anymore I could careless. What is happening??? :confused:

Nascrap is going downhill in a handbasket. Lets just stick with the dirt thing, how bout it. As they say, blacktop is to get to the track, dirt is for racing on. ;)

Well I am not really a jr fan but I don't dislike him either, I don't believe he has near the talant that his dad had, and I wasn't a sr fan either but you know what the records show the facts. I will say this Jr needs to produce I really don't think he can I think he is a middle of the pack driver and will always be that way with an occasional win. Jr prove me worng but so far I am right. As for Kyle goodbye I can only hope no one picks him up he is a PUNK. I dislike him and always will, as they say you have one chance to make a first impression and his was not real good, once a PUNK always a Punk. So in closing I am sure the bashers will jump on board and tell me how wrong I am about Jr. Think about why you folks really like Jr, i am serious sit and really think about why you like Jr, because for 95% of you I have the answer to your pondering. SR!!!!!!!!!:)
 
fanof24 you said it right. Gordon got alot of respect when he ran so good at the prelude to the dream. Don't get me wrong Jr's a good nascar racer, but i watched him run mods at pevely the first year they had the night of stars, he hardly got in the gas. In my opinion a true racer can race on dirt, dirt is one of the most competitve ranks around. Look at the better drivers in nascar, they mostly all were dirt boys before nascar. Gordon, Steward, Khane, Edwards, and the list goes on and on.

I did not directly say I was not a Hendrick fan nor did I say I was, but he is a very good business man. But I was talking about Nascar in general not just a certain owner and/or driver, everything. :rolleyes:

yes i know dale sr drove for hendricks and has been associated with hendricks in several different things what i was saying by slap in the face is i really thought jr was headed to childress or gibbs after gibbs announcing hes going back to chevy next year but then bud as a sponsor eliminated that so what did it leave childress after all hendricks was full with 4 teams already never expected it thats why i said slap in the face but im a jr fan no matter where he goes i just hope it hits teresa right dead in her pocket she may have money now and plenty but jr was the backbone of that company as being a driver and one day the company will be the earnhardt kids anyway im with jr he wants to be his own person and should be the kid has been compared to his dad since he started and has never had a chance to be his own person so i say GO JR BE YOURSELF AND KICK SOME ***

When I First Heard That It Could Be Hendrick He Was Going To I Was Hoping That It Was Wrong. After I Watch The Press Conference And Heard All The Connections Jr Had To Rick It Seemed To Make More Sense. I Know Alot Of Us Hoped He Would Go To Rcr But I Think That Would Be A Little To Much Because People Would Expect The Same Things Out Of Him There Just Like His Father. I Will Still Be A Dale Jr Fan No Matter What Number Or Color He Will Be.
 
Jr.'s got the best to work with so I'm happy. I'm hoping that Hendrick can negotiate with D.E.I. to keep the #8 for Jr. and AB stays with him as a sponser.
 
I am a huge Gordon fan.

What is so funny about all of this is ALL the Jr fans I have ever listened to at Talladega slander Jeff (gay gay gay) Oh my, did their straight driver go gay? Or maybe.... :eek: It will take alot for Jr fans to show their faces. (watch what you say someday it might BITE you).

It is not the car owners who the driver drive for, it's the driver himself. Whether Jr. is racing for Hendricks or one of the others, he is his own person. Race fans watch & follow the driver. So kudos to Jr. for making a decision that makes him happy. I am a fan of Jr. not of the racers in his group. I am a fan of Jeff Gordon but not of the others. It is the driver we follow.
 
I really can't beleive they let go of kyle busch. I would have let go of mears, oh well that kyle busch is a lil aggressive, he wins races. Kyle Busch also earned my respect at the prelude, that dude did a heck of a job piloting that late model around eldora. Shoot its still gonna be the hendricks show, he has put together a unbeatable team. He's not like steinbrenner either. If he was steinbrenner he would wait till they develop then go get them. Hendricks has raised Gordon and Johnson to who they are, only exception to the team will be JR. It is gonna be crazy jr and gordon on the same team.
 
I personally am not a jr. fan, and I think that him having great equipment now will be a true test for him, if he performs, great. As for the yankee comparison, maybe the yankees pay a lot to keep their players, but Jeter, O'neil, Tino Martinez, Bernie Williams, Scott Broscious, among others are the players that won 3 out of the 4 world series in the 90's, why is this relevant, because they came through the farm system in New York, just like Gordon, Johnson, Busch, and Vickers did. Jr is the first major signing for this team. Niether team bought their championships, if you don't like it, sorry, but that is the way it is. Sure, they both have money, but that is what racing is all about. Who has the most money. Whether is be dirt, drag racing, or nascar, if you have the money and the resources, you are going to be competitive.
