J.Montgomery, Powers, Eaton, Beeson & Moss are feature winners at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Aug. 27, 2005) Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown held off his older brother Tim Montgomery Saturday night to win the sprint car feature at the St. Francois County Raceway. Jerrod Hull captured third place with Jimmy Hurley fourth and Keith Burch fifth. They were followed by Daniel Adler, A.J. Bruns, Bryan Matthew, Tommy Worley Jr., Dean Adams Jr. and Jeremy Standridge. Hull won the first heat race with Adams second and Marshall Skaggs third. Burch won the second heat with Bob Thoman second and Tiffany Wyzard third. Worley Jr. won the third heat with Timmy Montgomery second and Bruns third. Robbie Standridge won the fourth heat with Joey Montgomery second and Jeremy Standridge third. Hurley won the "B" main with Lance Gullo second and Matthews third. Worley won the trophy dash with Timmy Montgomery second and Joey Montgomery third.
In the Modified class feature, Robert Powers of Caruthersville captured his first victory of the season at SFCR with Brent Thompson second, Kasey Burch third, Jeremy Greenwalt fourth and Tommy Worley Sr. fifth. They were followed by Mike Francis, Kenny Kennedy, John Bohn, Chris Boyd and Jon Paul Reando. Thompson won the first heat race with David Shepard second and Worley third. Powers won the second heat with Pete Koenig second and Greenwalt third. Burch won the third heat with Leo Kiefer second and Adam Parmeley third. Kennedy won the "B" main.
In the Sportsmen class, Matt Eaton of Park Hills continued his winning ways by picking up another feature win. Doug Savage finished in second place with Randy Forster third, Kyle Stolzer fourth and Leonard Betsch fifth. They were followed by Kevin Mosier, Donnie Mosier, Chris West, Eric Melliere and Nathan Gibson. Betsch won the heat race with Savage second and Donnie Mosier third.
In the Pure Street class, Jeff Beeson of Benton won his second consecutive feature in the class, Kyle Berry finished in second place with Chris Wilson third, John Bohn fourth and Shawn Griffin fifth. They were followed by Bill Skaggs, Jason Wilkey, Mark Todd, Travis Goodson and Aaron Darby. Beeson won the first heat race with Goodson second and Wilson third. Berry won the second heat with Derrick Shipman second and Greg Casey third. Griffin won the third heat with Joey Knuekles second and Bohn third. Mike Savage won the "B" main with Darby second and Boyd third.
In the 600cc Multi class feature, points leader Andy Moss was the winner with Tom Dickerman second, Jimmy Stearns third, Brian Steele fourth and Jimmy Bridgeman fifth. They were followed by Junior Ferguson, Brad Greer, Ryan Criswell, Keith Steele and Derek King. Stearns won the first heat race with Joey Boyd second and Brian Steele third. Casey Barnhouse won the second heat with King second and Moss third.
Racing action will continue this Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults in the grandstands with kids age 12 & under admitted free. This Saturday is Fisher Auto Parts of Potosi Night.
