James Wins Inaugural Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers Racing Series Ironman Feature

Granite City, IL -- With 105 race cars jamming the pits for the inaugural Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers Racing Series, Terry James won the Ironman Late Model feature Saturday at Tri-City Speedway. James survived an eight car pilup as the bunched field raced into the first corner but aftrer the restart dogged Vince Grondski for nine laps before taking the lead for good. Following James was Grondski, Pat Ryan, Ed Purcell and Lenny Garson.

The inaugural Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers Racing Series was full of career firsts with Tim Gaerter winning the Mountain Dew Sportsman, Bobby Martintoni the Budweiser Modified, Ken Johnson, Jr, the Domino's Street Stock and Pat Harper the Auto Trader Factory Stock mains events.

Next Saturday, April 10 is "Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Poster Night" with the first 500 adults with a paid admission receiving a free Dale Earnhardt, Jr., poster. Spectator gates open at 6 p.m.with racing at 7 p.m.
