Westville, Oklahoma (07/26/11) – Jason Hughes from Westville, Oklahoma is the latest addition to the MSRMafia.com Team and has launched a new website at www.JasonHughes12.com .

Jason, who was the 2010 Casey's General USMTS Hunt Champion, pilots the #12 West Siloam Pawn/Gressel Racing/Hughes/Mullins Race Engines Open Wheel Modified at events throughout the country. He has been racing for over 23 years and has hundreds of wins to his credit. When not piloting his Open Wheel Modified, he also makes random outings in his #12 West Siloam Pawn/Mastersbilt Super Late Model. Thus far into 2011 Jason has recorded nine Open Wheel Modified feature wins and one Super Late Model win.

This weekend, July 27th-30th, Hughes will set his sights on a $20,000 payday as he enters the World Modified Dirt Track Championship at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota), which will be sanctioned by the Casey's General USMTS tour. Over 150 of the nation's top Open Wheel Modified pilots have entered the event, and the field has been split into three separate qualifying nights, where they will accumulate points toward Saturday night's starting grid for the finale. Jason will take part in Wednesday night's qualifying program. For information on the events, please visit www.DeerCreekSpeedway.com and www.USMTS.com .

Last weekend, Jason took part in a pair of events. Friday night found Jason back in action with the Casey's General USMTS tour as he took part in the opening night of the 1st Annual Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska). Thirty-three entries were on hand for the event, and after advancing from the sixth starting spot to a third place finish in heat race action, Hughes earned the 11th starting spot for the 40 lap, $2,000-to-win feature.

In the feature, Hughes would quickly work his way forward through the pack, and on lap 24 he would race his way past Jeremy Payne to claim the second spot. Over the closing laps of the feature, Hughes would reel in the leader, Kelly Shryock, and by the time that the white flag flew Hughes and Shryock were side-by-side for the lead. Heading into turn one on the white flag lap, Hughes would inch ahead before seeing Shryock race his way back to the lead and the win. Jason would finish in the second position.

Saturday night concluded the 1st Annual Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway as a $2,000-to-win, 35 lap feature was on tap. Thirty-four cars entered the event, and after finishing fourth in his heat race, Jason narrowly missed the cut for the main event, and as a result was forced to run a b-main.

After winning his b-main, Hughes started 14th on the grid for the feature. During the course of the event Jason would advance a few spots before seeing mechanical issues with just three laps remaining bring his night to an end in the 16th position. Full results are available at www.USMTS.com.
