Westville, Oklahoma (08/31/11) – Jason Hughes piloted his #12 West Siloam Pawn/Gressel Racing/Hughes/Mullins Race Engines Open Wheel Modified to his second triumph of the 2011 Casey's General USMTS Hunt on Saturday night at Upper Iowa Speedway (Decorah, Iowa).

The team resumed their pursuit of the 2011 Casey's General USMTS Hunt Championship on Thursday night at I-35 Speedway (Winston, Missouri) as a total of 29 cars signed in for battle. Jason began the night by finishing second in his heat race to lock into the ninth starting for the 40 lap, $2,000-to-win feature. In the main event Hughes would fail to make up much ground as he was able to manage only a tenth place finish.

Cedar County Speedway (Tipton, Iowa) was the next track on the docket for the Casey's General USMTS tour as the competitors invaded the facility on Friday night. Forty Open Wheel modifieds entered the event, and after charging from the fifth starting spot to win his heat race, Hughes once again found himself in the redraw for the feature. After receiving the sixth starting spot for the main event, Jason would advance three spots to record a third place finish behind race winner, Johnny Scott, and Zack VanderBeek. It was another solid point's night for Hughes in the driver point's and manufacturer's points.

Jason Hughes stormed to his second Casey's General USMTS Open Wheel Modified Hunt feature win of 2011 on Saturday night at Upper Iowa Speedway (Decorah, Iowa). With twenty-six cars entered, Jason charged from his sixth starting spot to a third place finish in heat race action to transfer to the redraw for the feature, where he received the pole starting spot alongside Rick Beebe. As the 40 lap, $2,000-to-win race went green it was Hughes, who bolted to the lead. After a lap one caution the remainder of the event would go caution free as Jason cruised to the feature win, which came over Jon Tesch, Ryan Gustin, Zack VanderBeek, and Johnny Scott. The win was his twelfth overall of the 2011 season!

Jason continues to be fourth in the Casey's General USMTS Hunt standings, and Hughes Race Cars continues to lead the Tiger Rear Ends Manufacturers Points. Full results and the latest tour standings are available at www.USMTS.com.
