Springfield, MO (September 18th, 2010) - Jeremy Payne secured back to back Lucas Oil MLRA race wins Saturday night at The Larry Phillips Memorial Race in Springfield, Missouri. Payne won his heat from the pole position to start on the outside of row three, for the feature event. The forty lap feature had only two race leaders, Payne and Republic, Missouri's Brad Looney. Looney finished in the second position with Coffeyville, Kansas' Al Purkey taking the checkers in the third spot. The fans at Springfield Raceway enjoyed two and three wide racing during the feature event.

As the Lucas Oil MLRA 2010 championship points race winds down, the top three drivers continue to battle, changing positions yet again tonight. Brad Looney secured the top place in championship points from his second place finish. Looney holds a four point lead over Dave Eckrich, who came into tonight's race in the top position. Al Purkey remains in the third spot behind Eckrich by only two points.

Heat winners were Brad Looney, Al Purkey, Matt Johnson and race winner Jeremy Payne. Alan Vaughan was a scratch after not having oil pressure during hot laps. Vaughan suffered from similar issues last weekend but held on to a top five finish.

Jeremy Payne's Terry Phillips Autosports GRT Racing Chassis is powered by a Hatfield Racing Engine with sponsorship support from Andy's Frozen Custard, New Vision Graphics, Integra Racing Shocks, and Port City Racing.
