JERROD HULL, DAVID SHEPARD, CHRIS BOYD, AND ANDY MAPOCKER SHARE WINNING HONORS at ST FRANCOIS COUNTY

Farmington, MO (April 25) -- Employees of B-104 Radio were in the stands as Jerrod Hull, Sikeston, MO found his way to victory lane Saturday night at St Francois County Raceway. Starting from the pole position, Hull would jump to the lead. Keith Burch, Farmington, MO, chased from the number starting position and get close on several occasion, but coming a just a little shy of the victory. Joey Montgomery and A J Bruns were having a battle for the third and fourth spots, when they got together coming off the second corner. Bruns would have a broken front end on his mount and left the race. Montgomery took his car to the pit area for a tire change, returned to the rear and drove through the pack and a strong third place finish.

David Shepard, DeSoto, MO, held off strong challenges from Billy Smith and Jeremy Greenwalt to take the honors in the modified division. In a race that seemed to take forever to get started Shepard held his mount steady as he and Matt Eaton, Park Hills, MO, would drag Tommy Worley, Sr , Brent Thompson and Greenwalt along for the ride. These five would be close throughout the event Shepards win is his first for 2009.

The Pure Street Division found familiar face in the win column. Chris Boyd, Park hills, MO returned to the seat of the number 3 and drove it to the front and the win. Lap 6 of 15 was the point Boyd would take the lead for good. He outdueled Shane Blair, Kasey Nations and Brian Blair for the early lead. Two cautions would slow the event. There were no serious incidents during the feature.

Multi Division found a new winner. Andy Malpocker, St Charles, MO. Malpocker who runs periodically he placed his Number 22M at the front of the pack. Sam Miller, and 2009 point leader, Kyle Amerson would chase him for the distance.

Racing will continue next Saturday evening with Winged Sprints, Modifieds, Pure Stereet and 600’ Multi’s. This will also be our first of the season $5.00 General Admission to the Main Grandstand . Gates open at 4:00. Racing around 7:00
