Has anyone heard about the condition of Jerrod Hull? Looked like he might have broken his leg when he was trying to get out of the car. It was definately a scary moment. If anyone has any information please let me know. Thanks.

Jerrod Hull

4:00 Sunday , just talked to Nicole , he has burnes froms calves of his legs to his angles, they don't know about his knee yet, no breaks as far as they know

This is Jerrod's brother Christopher and I was with my brother from when he was on the track all the way up until he got released from the hospital. Jerrod has minor burns on both legs nothing serious. But most of his pain is in his knee from where it got caught in the nerf bar and he jerked it out and felt a pop. And Scott the Crew Chief went over the car that night and he thinks it was the highspeed diaphragm busted and when that happend there is a pin hole in the highspeed and the fuel was coming from there. My brother is very lucky he was so far out front and no one else hit him.

Glad to hear everything will be alright. Jerrod is a heck of a driver and competitor.

Best of luck to you Jerrod. Has anybody seen the front page of stlracing.com? It shows pictures of him laying on the track. I do not think that is right with someone being hurt and showing pictures of it.

This is Christoher again....I went with Jerrod to the doctor today and the doctor said that Jerrod tore his Acl,Mcl and two legaments in his knee and is going to require sergery. He also Mentioned some other cl that might be torn but he isn't for sure.

It is great to hear Jarrod is doing better. I wish him best of luck with the surgery. Though he's torn his knee pretty bad and has burns on his legs, he is still very lucky. But I do have to comment on the horrible job by the track officials and the firefighters that were on the track, Jarrod may not even have the injuries he has, had it been for better efforts made by those crews. Me along with many other spectators that were there are very displeased with the way things were handled. It would not surprise me if many drivers including Jarrod dont come back to SFCR due to lack of emergency workers help and response time. Jarrod was fighting to get out of the car and the firefighters were just standing there staring at him in amazement instead of acting. And the ambulance crews were slacking in response time also. Racing is a very dangerous sport and we all realize these drivers are taking risks when getting behind the wheel but it is the job of a track promotor to make sure you have properly trained safety officials and that was not the case Saturday night. And what the hell were they waiting for when they got Jarrod in the ambulance, it took them FOREVER to take him to the hospital. Oh I guess they were trying to decide who was going to pay the bill!! Ive been going to SFCR for 23 years and Ive never seen this kind of piss poor safety officials. I just hope its better next year. Again, best of luck to Jarrod and his family, your in my prayers.

i agree with worleyfan4ever on the lack of emergency workers. i think the ambulance needs to stay in the middle of the track with all of the push buggies. i also think the firefighters need to get a rhino or gator to use during the races. they have to carry those fire extinguishers all the way across the track whenever there is a bad wreck or flip. idk if this is do to the lack of funds but i think something needs to be done. even if its something simple. because one day, i hope it never would happen, but somebody is really gonna be hurt bad and the lack of emergency efforts will haunt everyone that is involved. i wish something would be done. but anyways i hope you do well with surgery and hope you get to feeling better Jerrod.
