Jimmy Cummins' Road Trip to Lebanon Midway Speedway, Lebanon, MO for the Factory 56 B-Mod Nationals

Debbie Cummins

Bomber Momma #19
Well, he didn't go as far away as Wisconsin/Minnesota to the Mississippi Thunder Speedway races this year, but instead traveled to Lebanon, MO for a 3-day racing series. Jimmy went alone this year due to doggie-sitting problems that are probably all my fault because I needed/wanted a new puppy, Skittles. Jimmy's biggest dog Boon didn't seem to want to "share" me with my Skittles the other day and proceeded to totally terrify my 5-month-old Skittles, so I decided to not doggie-sit for Jimmy's 2 dogs this time (but I still love them to pieces). Maybe if he goes to Humboldt next year? So Bruce is doggy-sitting Boon and Bits while I try to keep Skittles from digging all over my backyard!

Anyway, Jimmy made it safely to Lebanon this afternoon and is taking part in the Qualifying night of the B-Mod races, running in a 20-lap race tonight. 33 B-Mods there. He was in qualifier 3, 20 laps. Top two make the Saturday feature race. He starts 3rd. He said he got the toughest qualifier with Jackson, Muilenburg, Terry Schultz, John Allen, in his race. His car was OK in hot laps, he said. Good Luck James!!!

More news as I get it. They aren't linked in with MyRacePass. (bummer)

Jimmy texted at 9:56 p.m....He fell back to 6th or 7th. Muilenburg spun in the first lap and tore up Jimmy's right door a bit. Car was good early but it faded a bit. He said he had the toughest of the heat races. He will try again tomorrow. Good night!
