(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 team traveled to the states of Missouri and Ohio over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend (May 25-27) to compete in a pair of high-profile events. Josh's best effort of the weekend came on Sunday at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. Josh laid down the fastest lap during the qualifying session at PRP and later finished fifth in the dash to earn the inside third row starting spot in the inaugural 'Gator 50.' During the course of the $5,000 to win, unsanctioned event, the Grayson, Kentucky standout moved up to second and put heavy pressure on leader Jackie Boggs before settling for a close runner-up performance.
Earlier in the weekend, the JMR team was in the pit area at the immaculate Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, as the 20th Annual 'DART Show-Me 100' took place on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, Josh had troubles all weekend long in the Show-Me State and could not advance into the $30,000 to win A-Main after finishing twelfth in his loaded heat race and eighteenth in his B-Main.
