(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 JMR team returned to Dirt Late Model competition on Saturday night, October 13 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The annual running of the 'Fall 50' took place at the 1/2-mile facility and a $5,000 top prize was on the line. Josh finished a disappointing seventh in his heat race, but later drove up to second in the B-Main to earn a coveted starting spot in the 50-lap feature. After starting deep in the 'Fall 50' field, the Grayson, Kentucky standout moved up during the attrition-filled race and wound up thirteenth in the final finishing order. Complete results from Florence can be obtained by clicking on www.florencespeedway.com.

Next up for the Josh McGuire Racing team will be the 32nd running of the ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ scheduled for October 19-20 at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over their season finale at PRP and the crown jewel event once again boasts a hefty $50,000 payday. Qualifying and heat race action will take place on Friday night, while the consolation events, $3,000 to win ‘Jim Dunn Memorial Non-Qualifiers Race,’ and the 100-lap ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ are all scheduled for Saturday evening.

The high-definition cameras of the Lucas Oil Productions Studios will be on hand at Portsmouth to tape all of the wheel-to-wheel action for broadcast on the SPEED Channel. Josh has one feature win this year at PRP and captured the biggest victory of his career ($10,000) in a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battle at the 1/3-mile facility back in 2008.
