JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour at Fayette County Speedway June 15

WEST UNION, Iowa (June 7) – Fayette County Speedway rolls out the red carpet next Tuesday for IMCA Modified drivers following the JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. on June 15 at the fairgrounds venue in West Union. Hot laps begin at 6:45 p.m. with racing to follow.

Admission to the grandstand is $12 for adults; kids 11 and under get in free. Pit passes are $25. The event is sponsored by NAPA of West Union.

Richie Gustin Jr. of Gilman took over the lead in the tour point race with his Memorial Day victory at I-35 Speedway in Mason City. Josh Foster of Montrose, winner of the May 19 series opener at Independence Mo¬tor Speedway, is second in the standings, five markers off the pace.

The inaugural series boasts 10 dates, all paying a minimum of $1,000 to win. Cresco Speedway hosts the fourth tour date, on Thursday, June 24, during the Mighty Howard County Fair.
