June 1st Amod tire rule

The A-s rule and no more A tires....Before I sell all my A tires...is every track going to this rule? No track have mentioned it in their drivers meetings and I would like a confirmation for our local tracks. Or is it that if a truck doesn't conform they loose their sanction? Is this at each tracks discretion?

let me get this right --after july 1st A mods can no longer run A -40 tires -- both ends ?? this is going to suck for racers that depend on used tires -- I can not see there being enough used A-s tires to go around -- looks like short fields will get shorter JMO

Sorry jimmy that's my fault. But will all tracks have to abide by this rule? Or will it be up to the tracks if they want to or not

Fireball, this shouldn't be new to anyone.. This info has been out there since well before the season started. Hoosier hasn't been making the A tire for a while now. But they had plenty of inventory to go thru. This rule only applies to A-Mods..

My understanding is if tracks don't follow the rules, then drivers won't get UMP Points.

i knew there was a rule regarding the A tire - my point is the low bux racer that depends on used rubber may have a hard time finding the As tire -- we can still run a H on the RR as far as I know -- but I am OLD

Now I hope for once this really happens and that is if a track does not enforce the rule the drivers won't get any ump points. Now I don't want anyone to get me wrong I don't want this or happen to the drivers but, it's time for these tracks to be held accountable for once. If Drivers have to buy a license then a track must have some responsibility as well and if Ump does not enforce this then I would hope a driver doesn't buy a ump Liscense next year.

A Hoosier rep had told me earlier this year that they had stopped making them...

But it doesn't matter, the intent of getting rid of the A is to get to a single tire, the AS.. With the exception of tracks allowing an H on the right rear.

I can't believe there a people out there that still have enough confidence in UMP management to do anything right.

if the A is still in production why cant the A-Mods use them after july 1st. ???
As far as I know, the D is still in production, yet they can't be used anymore at a lot of tracks, same deal with the A. Maybe un sanctioned tracks or lower level classes will still run them.

Hoosier did indeed suspend -A- production, but only briefly. I was told the outcry was severe enough and the demand was still high enough that they resumed production. Sportsman class can still run them in perpetuity...for now. Just seems like a big old money grab to me.

Exaxtly right. Being a member of the dirt racing community sometimes I feel like we're some of the dumbest there are. We decide as a whole to get rid of the D to save racers money and now ump and Hoosier have changed what they're calling these tires and now have us buying 3 different tires again and have us right back in the same spot and it's obvious what side UMP is on and we can't come together as racers and regulate ourselves. Sad

Not me for I saw the light a long time ago and changed sanctions and venues where I'm treated like a valued customer.
