Kenny Wallace

That's the problem ....UMP doesn't enforce rules and racing keeps getting more expensive.
Gotta love a guy who just gets on to bash. One that don't race.. And spent as much or more than anyone when he did

Why does he need to be in a late model? With a modified he is able to race at more tracks across the country and more often.

I think kenny wallace and shrader both are an excellent draw anywhere they go. Do they have great equipment? Yes but the sport is dwindling down. You need to get anyone you can out there and yes he advertises everywhere he goes via social media. And like it or not he has a huge fan base. Oh yea he is also a pretty good racer as well lol. I look at it like this unless you can strap yourself in a racecar and can beat him in no way can you critique his driving

Hello friends. This is Kenny Wallace. I want to share with you all something Dale Earnhardt Sr told me.

Dale Sr said this to me "HERMAN there are thousands of great race car drivers all over the United States and they all can't make it to NASCAR" ... So when I race any local track in the United States and I see great drivers like Mike Harrison or Michael Long or Scott Bloomquist or Billy Moyer I think to myself about what Dale Sr told me.. Those are great drivers. They just never went to NASCAR for one reason or another.. As for me? What some people think of Kenny Wallace is none of my business. See you all at Quincy tonight. And I Love you all.

You obviously don't know me or what I stand for. The problems between me and Sammy has always been due to our differences in our attitude and opinions about controlling the cost of racing. And BTW even people who don't race can have an opinion. Where's your racecar?
And Tom ...your RC car doesn't count.

Well said kenny!!

Damn i wasnt trying to start a bash fest here! I was just simply asking a question and trying to see if anybody knew anything about it! Take it for what it is worth, but if Kenny was winning at every track he went to these same bashers would be saying "he shouldnt even be racing at a local level with his money!". Personaly i think its great him amd Schrader do this. Not sure how many fans they bring into a track but even if they bring in 1 thats 1 more than you had at the last event. Besides maybe if some people would take the time to sit down amd talk to him you would find out he is a down to earth guy and is a humam just like us and he was fortunate enough to land a deal like he has.

I have nothing against Wallace... I think he brings a lot to the dirt world.. I'm not taking anything away from him with that.. He's helped dirt track racing without a doubt.. In my opinion and I've been told before that nobody gives a shit about my opinion but I'm going to give it to you anyways. I don't feel he's in the elite class of mod drivers.. He has the best of everything I can promise you that but it still don't make him in the elite class... Elite class of mod drivers I feel right now are... Trent young, Levi Kissinger, mike Harrison, Michael long, chad kinder, Jeff Leka, Jacob poel that's to name a few.. I just don't feel Wallace is in that group.. Night in and night out I will take any of these drivers over Wallace.. That's my opinion which isn't worth much.. He does bring a lot to dirt track racing I will give him that..

I would rather see him run tenth in a late model than to take the money from the guys that are normal blue collar workers, and most of which do not have guys on payroll. He maybe able to run more nights with a modified, but he can increase his earning chances 10 fold with a late model. Believe me when you go to do your taxes it is based on possible earnings. I have thought about this for a few years just never said anything. I dont care who it is if you are running that type of operation you should do it at the elite level. He could have gotten that same exposure on tv if he drove a late model. I raced for 10 years so I know a little bit of what I am talking about.

He also runs imca modifieds ons dn off thru the year. He ran the dual in the desert last year.

I like seeing him in a mod over late model. But I like Kenny and mods more.

I would complain if he won every race and stole all the money but the truth is he doesn't. He doesn't have that many wins this year. Same with Schrader.

Plus Kenny is a happy guy all the time. Super positive. And always always always preaches dirt track racing

I don't see any reason for him to run a late model? He's not winning everywhere he pulls to. Actually he usually a top 10 guy. Just don't understand the entire thinking of wishing he ran late models.

I am not wishing he ran a lm. Wherever it is that he finishes it just pushes the payout back another spot. Who knows in time he would probably do better in a full blown racecar. I have seen guys that did not do to good in a mod go pretty good in a lm.

Hey racingfan4life I can tell you Herm has the respect and admiration of 90+% of the drivers he races against so while your opinion is respected its a pretty good ways off of the general consensus.

I have the highest regards for Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader for choosing to run locally, and in the modified class. It tells me that they are out there having fun and that's the reason people should be racing. Back to main topic.... I was totally unaware that there was an engine claim in the modified class. Why doesn't it happen more often? When was the last time it ever happened?

The engine claim rule never worked around here. It was rarely used for anything except to further a grudge. And that's going back to the early 1990's when IMCA / UMP Modifieds first came on the scene. I can't remember the last time someoneaattempted a claim.

I don't ever remember a Modified motor getting claimed at Highland, maybe a Street Stock motor once. I do remember it happening several times at Brownstown in the early 90's.
