I thought it was a pretty good show Saturday night. The STL area drivers had a good showing. Bobby Bittle was fast in his heat race and when he was passing for the final transfer, after starting last, he did not quite have the car cleared and they touched and bittle spun. He did not race in the semis. Weber was fast and I thought he had the win but Kramer made a hard charge and got by on the last lap. Kinder and Shamhart were one two the whole race. They came up on lap cars with three to go and the lap car and Kinder got together. The lap car spun in front of Shamhart. It looked like Kinder and Shamhart were ok but when they restarted they both had troubles due to the incident. I think Kinder had a flat RF and Shamhart had some fornt end damage. Harrison was fast but got in a first lap first turn accident and I thought I heard the announcer say he got a hole in the radiator. Walsh was decent all night but not great, Mevert looked pretty good as he usually is there. I can't remember what happened to Leka but I think he got in an accident in his heat. Martintoni was ok but just could not get it all together to make the feature. I had a good time and it was nice to get to see some of the hometown guys race down here. It has been a while since I have got to see some of them race.
