Granite City, IL: Sunday Night the World of Outlaws make their only
appearance at Tri-City Speedway. It should feature a showdown between 17-time
champion Steve Kinser and current points leader Danny Lasoski. Kinser, the
winningest driver in Tri-City Speedway history with 22 wins in 45 starts and 481 wins
in World of Outlaws since 1978, is also the crowd favorite. Danny Lasoski,
from Dover, MO, has won 6 times this season in 29 starts and has a 61 point edge
on Kinser who has never won a World of Outlaws main event at Tri-City
Speedway.
Wednesday Night at Huset's Speedway in Huset, SD, Steve won his 10th
World of Outlaws main event this season. Danny Lasoski finished third. The series
moves to Joplin, MO on Friday, Kansas City on Saturday, and Tri-City Speedway
in Granite City on Sunday.
Kinser and Lasoski will face challenges from 8 time Tri-City Speedway
winner Sammy Swindell, track record holder Mark Kinser, and over 30 World of
Outlaws' drivers and paying $10,000-to-win from the over $50,000 in posted prize
money.
Spectator gates open at 4:00 p.m.; time trials at 7:00 p.m.; and racing
at 8:00 p.m. Reserved seats are available by calling RaceLine (636) 947-7287 or
RaceTix at (314) 469-9666. Adults: $32 – Children (12 & under) – 1/2
price. General Admission will be sold race day. Parking is FREE.
Tri-City Speedway is located 1/2-mile South of I-270 on Illinois Rt. 203,
Exit 4.
