KLMS joins the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series

The Crate American Racing Series (C.A.R.S.) is proud to announce that the Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway has signed on as the newest member of the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series. The Crate Late Model Class at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway will race weekly under the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series banner in 2006.

Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway is a 3/8 mile clay oval located just off I-24 in Calvert City, KY. KLMS is owned and operated by Sherri Heckenast and is known as the "Taj Mahal" of dirt tracks with a facility that is next to no other in the country. KLMS will race every Saturday night starting in April and features prestigious annual events such as the "Early Bird Classic", the "99 Special", the "Bluegrass Nationals" and the "Commonwealth Cup".

By joining the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series, drivers who race C.A.R.S. Late Models at KLMS will be eligible to receive valuable points towards the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series National Championship. The C.A.R.S. National Champion will be awarded the top prize of $10,000 in cash, a new C.J. Rayburn Chassis, a new Bert Ball Spline Transmission, & more.

C.A.R.S. Late Models utilize current area chassis & body rules. The only significant difference is the engines. C.A.R.S. Late Models are powered by GM Performance Parts Circle Track Crate Racing Engines, a substantial savings for the budget racers over today's cost of current Late Model engines.

Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway is located just off I-24, Exit 27 in Calvert City, KY. For more information about Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway visit www.klms.com
