The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would take part in Steve Partin's hidden gem last Wednesday night and Jess Hartman would make his first CMC appearance a winning one. He would be followed by Pete Holt and Dave Jamison. Weather would get the best of Moler Raceway Park on Friday Night so the CMC drivers would have to wait untill Lawrenceburg on Sunday to get after it. Joey Kramer would jump to the lead on the start and lead Derek Groomer the entire way. Coming through the field though would be Pete Holt and Weasel Rhoades to finish 3rd and 4th. Rhoades has had such a good year, his point total would only increase by 8 points with his finish. Pete Holt would have the best week of any CMC drivers with 2 top 3 finishes.
This weekend is a fan friendly weekend in the CMC. On Friday at Moler 15 and under are free and there will be bike races for the kids at intermission. On Saturday at Florence Speedway will be fan appreciation night.
