Lake Ozark Speedway celebrates their top drivers for 2007 at their Awards Banquet on November 17th!

Eldon, MO (November 9, 2007) Lake Ozark Speedway track owners/promoters G&G Motorsports and the rest of the track staff will put the wraps on the 2007 racing season with their Championship Awards Banquet on Saturday, November 17th. This event will take place at Donita's Banquet Hall which is located on Hwy 54 west of the track towards the Lake - (about 6 miles outside of Jefferson City). Go past the Ellis/Southwest Blvd Exit about 4 miles to Donita's Banquet Hall on the left side right off the Highway.

Festivities for the November 17th awards ceremony will see doors open at 5:00 p.m., with a meal being served at 6:00 p.m., while the awards ceremony portion of the evening will begin around 7:00 p.m. A live band with dancing and fun will take place after the awards ceremoney and last until Midnight. The top ten drivers in each division will be honored at the 2007 Championship Awards Banquet, with the top five point getters in each division receiving money and trophies, while positions six through ten in each division will receive money and plaques.

The cost for the night's activities will be $25 with children 5 years & under $10. Champions tables will seat eight. Reserved tables must be prepaid prior to the Banquet (Seating for 8). Tickets can be picked up on Wednesday's prior to the Banquet at the track from 5:00 - 6:30 or at the door the night of the Banquet. Eric Schrock of Lake Ozark, MO was the 2007 Hy-Vee 360 Winged Sprint Car Champion. Schrock won six feature events in 2007 enroute to the season championship. Finishing second through tenth in the Hy-Vee 360 Winged Sprint Car final points standings were Mike Trent, Tracy Nichols, Jeff Wingate and J.D. Black. The remainder of the top ten in the standings were Jeff Stanley, Bryan Grimes, Ryan Marsch, Curtis Evans and Kyle Bellm.

The inaguaral Season Champion in the Dodge Crate American Racing Series (C.A.R.S.) Late Models was Brandon Imhoff of Lake Ozark, MO. Imhoff accumulated six feature victories in 2007 at Lake Ozark Speedway. Ron Myers would earn the second spot in the point standings just twenty points behind the champion while Steve Beach claimed the third spot. Todd McCoin and Chuck Pederson would complete the top five in the standings. Positions six through ten were earned by Mike Berger, Chris Lapp, Javan Payne, Willie Hinnah and Shane Merrill.

The Galamba Metals United Midwestern Promoters (U.M.P.) DIRTcar Modified Season Championship was claimed by Danny Crane of Columbia, MO. Crane scored five victories in 2007 and topped the second place finisher Bob Test by twenty-four points. Jason Russell, Howard Hall and Robert Knaebel completed the top five in the point standings. Steve Cain, Rowland Blythe, Virgil Jeffery, Mark Caldwell and Richard Kimberling rounded out positions six through ten.

Jeff Duncan of Fulton, MO earn the 2007 Season Championship in the DuPont Hot Hues Street Stocks division. Duncan used consistancy to win the Championship as he had fifteen top ten finishes in his sixteen feature starts along with one victory. David DeGraffenreid, Steve James, Harlan Dowell and Dale Berry were second through fifth in the final standings. Positions six through ten were completed by Kyle Jeffries, Donnie Taylor, Aaron Gustin, Travis Turpin and Mike Kruetzer.
