(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team entered one lone event over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, as they trekked to the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Friday night, May 24. The Spring Nationals tour presided over a $4,000 to win showdown at the Chattanooga area facility and a strong field of 36 competitors piled into the pit area. Brandon started his night off by posting the eighth quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session, but his lap was only about a tenth off of the fastest time in his group.

The Allen, Kentucky native then claimed the second transfer spot in his B-Main, which enabled him to start from the outside of the eighth row in the 40-lap feature event. Brandon moved all the way up to eighth in the running order late in the race, but a scrape with another competitor heavily damaged the nose of his #18 MB Customs mount and relegated him to a thirteenth place performance. The Kinzer Motorsports team will now turn their focus to the nearby 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Saturday evening, June 1. A regular weekly Super Late Model program will be held in two day’s time at 201 and a $1,500 top prize will be on the line.
