Lebanon,Mo.-With over 350 in attendance Sunday Afternoon, the upcoming season at the Lebanon and Bolivar Speedways were discussed.

The track recently sold to Monett Speedway Promoter and owner Randy Mooneyham will be putting Dirt back on the surface of Lebanon I-44 Speedway very quickly and return it back to it's original roots as it was built as a premier dirttrack back in 1983.
Mooneyham explained that he had never had a rules meeting that big and had never ran out of printed rules before as the 250 seats were taken up before 1:30.

4 classes will be ran at Lebanon this season on a normal rotation including Late Models,Modifieds,Factory Stocks, and Bombers. The same for Bolivar with the exception of SuperStocks will be added in to start the season up.

"We want the rules to be pretty universal to where you not only race here, but can also travel after the season to other tracks without changing things on the car left and right."

"Our Late models will be an open type of car(MARS/MLRA Series),there are alot in the area. Also this away when the MARS Series comes into the area, our drivers will be able to compete to make the show.Modifeds will be normal IMCA Type rules, this has been proven and very great to all drivers involved racing in this division all across the United States.

We plan on having 1-2 swing weekends for the Modifieds,Factory Stocks, and Bombers to where they can run for more purse money and maybe even a bonus on top of that."

Money is the name of the game, and Mooneyham announced that on Sept.12-13 the O'Reilly Auto Parts MARS Late Models will be coming into town for a 10,000 to win Late Model Show."The fans will get to see drivers they remember growing-up with Bill Frye,Terry Phillips,Rex McCroskey, and many more for that weekend.Other Special events are the Missouri Dirttrack Championships(Bolivar) towards the end of Aug.,and the 4State Championships on Labor Day Weekend,The tradition is coming back to the Ozarks.

Some of the interest in attendance included Lebanon Sportsman Asphalt champion Gary Klossner of Rolla,Rookie standout Tony Jackson Jr.of Lebanon, veteran Late Model front runner and 1988 I-44 Late Model Champion Darrell Mooneyham,Modified standout Brian Schutt,Wheatland Late Model Champ Melvin Smith of Buffalo,MLRA Racing Rookie of the Year Brandon McCormick of Lebanon,3 time Asphalt Late Model Champion Tim Swearengin of Springfield,Tim Brown of Stoutland, and a huge host of area racing drivers.

We feel that we can give the fans a first-class show, and with Bolivar running on a regular Friday Night, then following that with Lebanon on Sat.night, and follow that with Monett on Sunday evening, the fans and drivers both have a big variety to choose from.

"The 3 tracks will be all put on 1 website within the next 2-3 weeks called SMARTRACING(Southwest Missouri Auto Racing Tracks),this will make it easy for the fans and drivers both easy to get on the internet.

Final schedules will be ready after the Holidays, and the tracks will have a practice session before the season starts approx.around May
