(Macon, IL) Snow and cold weather are not slowing down the progress as Macon Speedway prepares for its season opener on Saturday, March 31. Macon Speedway is set to race every Saturday night plus many weekday specials throughout the season. With opening day right around the corner, Macon Speedway is pleased to announce changes to its communication outlets with fans and racers.

Macon Speedway will have a new track phone number – 217-764-3000. In addition, a special “information only” hotline has been established to help keep fans and racers informed about upcoming events and race day information. The Hotline number is 217-764-3220. The Hotline will provide a pre-recorded message about upcoming events and will be updated on race day with the latest information in the event of questionable weather.
An updated website has been created for Macon Speedway and can be found at www.maconracing.com. Website users will have fast access to current information on race results, point standings, rules, schedules, ticket information and other news.

Everyone is encouraged to update their address books with the new numbers and website information. Communication is a key factor as Macon Speedway sets forth under the new ownership group that includes NASCAR stars Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart and Kenny Wallace with Track Enterprises promoter Bob Sargent.

Race fans may save their seat well in advance of the race season at Macon Speedway. The popular reserved seating program from years past is available again for the 2007 racing season. Reserved seats in a special viewing section can be purchased for $75.00. Fans will still purchase admission tickets for each race, but their chosen seat is guaranteed every race night for the entire 2007 season. Reserved seating for Macon Speedway is limited and can be purchased by calling the track at 217-764-3000.

Macon Speedway is located 9 miles south of Decatur, IL on US 51 then .6 miles west on Andrews Street, then south on Wiles.
