MACON, IL – UMP Late Models will clash for their pieces of two pies on Saturday, June 9 when Macon Speedway hosts the Lite Beer Twin 50’s – twice the Late Model action on one big Saturday night.

Late Models will qualify for the first feature event through their heat races using the passing points system newly implemented by the Speedway in 2007. The lineup for the second feature will be formed by inverting the top 12 positions from the first feature. A $100 bonus will go to the highest finishing C.A.R.S. Crate Late Model in each feature. Macon Speedway is topping things off with a $500 bonus if any driver can win both feature races. Each feature will be scored and submitted for track, UMP, and C.A.R.S. Crate Late Model points.

If two Late Model features were not enough, Macon Speedway will feature an appearance by four-time Monster Nationals champion, the Raminator, with a heart-pounding exhibition of raw power.

Kenny’s Crazy Car Caper had to be postponed from June 2 so one lucky fan on Saturday night will have the opportunity to win a previously-owned Chevrolet courtesy of Decatur Used Cars.

Macon Speedway provides a thrilling combination of edge-of-your-seat racing action, fun and prizes, and wholesome family entertainment on a weekly basis and Saturday, June 9, is no exception. From the most seasoned race fan to the newest enthusiast, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Macon Speedway this Saturday!

Gates open on Saturday night at 5:00 PM with racing starting at 7:00. Adult grandstand admission is $12. Children 12 and under are free every Saturday night when accompanied by and adult. Pit admission is $25. Wristbands and guest passes from May 26 and June 2 will be honored as rain checks. Grandstand ticket stubs from the May 26 rain-out can be upgraded for $2.

Weekly racing at Macon Speedway features five UMP sanctioned divisions: Late Models, Hogan Grain/Kubota Sportsman, BARBECK Communications Modifieds, Street Stocks and 4-Cyl Hornets. New for 2007 at Macon are the C.A.R.S. Crate Late Models.

NASCAR Stars Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart and local Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Macon Speedway in January of 2007.
