(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway welcomes Caterpillar® Decatur employees, area Pastors and Dad this week to take in an exciting night of racing action on the fast 1/5 mile oval.
Part of the FAST FIV E Racer Appreciation Series, a Street Stock Saturday Night Special will have UMP Street Stock racers competing for a $500 first place paycheck.
Caterpillar® Decatur employees can obtain special admission tickets for the Saturday night racing event by contacting the Human Resources department at the plant. Macon Speedway and Caterpillar® Decatur Human Resources worked together to develop this special employee appreciation event.
Area pastors will take to the track in 4-cyl Hornet cars racing for the distinction of “Faster Pastor”. Special admission pricing is available for congregations and youth groups coming out to Macon Speedway to support their pastor. Call Tonya at 217-764-3000 to make arrangements for your church group and pastor.
With Father’s Day on Sunday, Macon Speedway will take time out to honor our Dads with some special prize drawings.
Gates open at 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 16 and racing starts at 7:00. Admission is $10 with children 12 and under admitted free with an adult.
Weekly racing at Macon Speedway features five UMP sanctioned divisions: Late Model, Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock and Hornet. New for 2007 is the addition of the C.A.R.S. Late Models.

July 20 is Night of NASCAR Stars III at Macon Speedway featuring an appearance by NASCAR Star Tony Stewart plus others. Reserve seats are on sale now by calling 217-764-3000 or 217-764-3200.
