Macon Speedway This Week – Lite Beer Twin 50’s, Raminator Monster Truck And Kenny’s Crazy Car Caper

(Macon, IL) It’s the biggest night of weekly racing this season at Macon Speedway – jam packed with excitement! This Saturday night, June 9, is highlighted by the Lite Beer Twin 50’s – two UMP Late Model features for twice the “edge of your seat” racing action. But that’s not all, 4-time Monster Nationals Champion, the Raminator, will wow fans both young and old with a spine-tingling, breath-taking exhibition. To top it off, Kenny’s Crazy Car Caper, previously scheduled for June 2, will return with one lucky fan winning a previously-owned Chevrolet courtesy of Decatur Used Cars. There is definitely something for everyone at Macon Speedway this week.

On Saturday, June 9, gates at Macon Speedway will open at 5:00 PM. Racing starts at 7:00. Kids Club meets this Saturday at 6:00 PM. General Admission is $12.00 for adults on June 9. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $25. Wristbands and guest passes from Saturday, May 26 and Saturday, June 2 will be honored as rain checks. Grandstand tickets purchased on May 26 can be upgraded for $2. Full season reserved seats are still available. Contact the Speedway at 217-764-3000 for more information.

Weekly racing at Macon Speedway features five UMP sanctioned divisions: Late Model, Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock and Hornet. New for 2007 is the addition of the C.A.R.S. Late Models.

June 14 is SPEED TV Night at Macon Speedway featuring an ARMY Birthday Celebration. More than a dozen NASCAR Drivers will be in attendance racing Modifieds for a special SPEED TV program to be aired later this summer. NASCAR Drivers confirmed include Marcus Ambrose, Kyle Busch, Ray Evernham, Bobby Labonte, Stephen Leicht, Jason Leffler, David Reutimann, Mike Wallace, Steven Wallace and JJ Yeley plus Macon Speedway co-owners Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace. June 16 is the Street Stock Saturday Night Special – part of the FAST FIVE Racer Appreciation series—with Street Stocks racing for $500 to win, plus the Faster Pastor race.

June 23 is Miles Chevrolet Night featuring a Wynn’s Mile Qualifier for the Hogan Grain/Kubota Sportsman.

NASCAR Stars Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart and local Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Macon Speedway in January of 2007.
