Midway Point Battles Tight-On Track Autograph Session Friday Night

Lebanon,Mo.-After an exciting night of Racing action last week,The LebanonMidwaySpeedway will swing back into action Friday night with a special on track autograph session during the intermission break giving the fans a chance to meet and greet the drivers.

The chase for the 2010 championship is shaping up to be one of the closest in history as after 3 weeks of point racing,several spots are already moving around.

This week the FactoryStock class will find a new driver at the top of the standings as Houston's Tyson Troutman has moved around Donnie Miller to take over the top spot by only 6 points.Last week Miller had a flat tire in the heat race and was forced to start 15th and charged up to a top 5 finish in a big field of cars.

Last weeks winner Ben Solberg has put himself into the chase early and is only 13 points behind the consistant Troutman while Grovesprings driver Mark Davis is only 14 out of the top spot while Bill Scharr has the Stars-N-Stripes Mustang in the top 5.

The Modified class will be headed by veteran Wayne Graybeal of Springfield with a 23 point lead over Josh Woody.Woody is looking for some luck this season as Tyler Brown of Stoutland is starting to turn his season around.Dallas County front runner Mark Simon of Buffalo,Geg Strong and local driver Micheal Stake round out the top 5.

The StreetStock class keeps bounching back and forth as defending champion Joe Francis climbs back to the top after a win last Friday Night along with Matt Pilant having a DNF due to motor problems.Steady Brandon Waters is lurking in the shadows only 13 points out of the lead.Last weeks leader Matt Pilant dropped to third followed by steady Jack Hamer and Billy Waters in the top 5.

The Sportsman class again finds Ben Newell on top but only by 4 points over father JC Newell with Clinto Betts following as the car count is slowly coming upward.

The PureStocks is shaping up to be very close as Grant Sharp's lead is only 3 points over Korey Barker of Lebanon.Mansfield's Joey Long has climbed into third place with first year driver Robert McGinnis and Adam Lowrance completing the top 5.

Gates open at 5 with hotlaps starting at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM sharp.

Grandstand admission is only $10 for Adults with Active Military and Senior Citizens receiving a $2 discount.Kids 11-15 are $5 and 10 and under Free.

Next Friday Night May 23rd will feature a kids bike race for those 10 and under.
