"Greetings & Salutations"
My first attempt at posting a pic, nothing spectacular except that this pic is of a badly wrecked car. This was the worst wreck I'v seen in years, probably since Mark Faust "left the track, and went in the creek" at Highland some time ago in the old modified days. This was a "racing" accident, Tracy Wolfe was the driver and he apparently is okay but a little sore. He was pinched off up high when two cars got together and he had nowhere to go. He hit the backstretch wall nearly headon and just came to a complete stop, very scary, you can always tell when the crowd goes silent that it's a bad wreck. The backstretch wall is the outside of the track but divides the track from the hotpits. It's a configuration much like Lakeside in KC if you've ever seen that, Lakeside is where Wendall Wallace was badly injured in his LM years ago. The good news is that the "Burg" is being reconfigured next year to a D-shaped oval on the backstretch and the dangerous wall should be gone. Was very glad to see him walk away.
