question about a car i saw in the highland pictures from last week. Is it now legal to have enclosed engine compartments on modifieds?http://www.stlracingphotos.com/High...-Mods/44782889_4ZhrMh#!i=3589985080&k=RdKMcvN
the 88 car has panels covering the sides of the engine
the ump modified rule book para 15.6 para D state: the engine compartment will remain open. any side panels in the engine compartment will not be allowed.
also it is hard to tell but rule 15.6 para D and E also cover firewall/door area and state the top of the doors with only allowing 8 inches extended at the bottom of the door. it also looks like the top of the doors extend forward on this particular car
not trying to stir the pot just curious if next year this will become a thing to see
