Montgomery wins third consecutive sprint feature at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (June 28, 2003) Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown won his third consecutive sprint car feature at the St. Francois County Raceway Saturday night. Montgomery held off the charge of Jerrod Hull of Sikeston to earn the victory, Tommy Worley Jr. of Bismarck finished in third place with Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown fourth and Rod Crabdree of Desloge was fifth.

They were followed by Ronnie Standridge, Bob Thoman, Jason Keith, Terry Babb and Jim Hurley.

In the Modified class, Billy "The Kid" Smith of Park Hills was the feature winner with Mike Crader taking second place, Kenny Kennedy of Fredericktown was third with Timmy Hill fourth and Chris Boyd of Park Hills fifth.

They were followed by Kevin Hulsey, Dan Zander, Butch Lyons, Joe Kopp and Dr. Chris Sloan.

In the 600cc Multi class feature, Casey Barnhouse of Farmington picked up his second consecutive feature win at SFCR after holding off Dustin Barks of Farmington for the victory. Kent Buckley settled for third place while Tyler Thompson was fourth and Joey Boyd fifth. They were followed by Junior Ferguson, Tommy Boyd, Josh Kennedy, Jeremy Boyer and Matt Dotson.
In the Hobby Stock feature, Chuck Adams of Piedmont picked up the checkered flag with Matt Eaton taking second place, Chris Boyd was third, Randy Forster fourth and Doug Savage fifth. They were followed by Charles Adams, Jason Keller, Leonard Betsch, Kevin Craig, and Kasey Nations.

Racing action at the St. Francois County Raceway continues this holiday weekend. On Friday, July 4, the Sprints, Hobby Stocks, Modifieds and Multis take to the track and then on Saturday, July 5, those same classes will do battle again, plus there will be a huge fireworks display.
