GUILFORD, Conn. (March 8) – Drivers in six IMCA divisions are in the running for contingency awards from Moroso again this season.
Top eligible drivers in each of the five Modified regions, both Stock Car and Hobby Stock regions, and in national Late Model, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMod points all receive Ultra 40 spark plug wire sets.
Runners-up and third place finishers in those standings get Blue Max spark plug wire sets.
Drivers must compete with a Moroso oil pan, display two Moroso decals on their racecar and return a completed sign-up form to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1 to be eligible. Moroso, headquartered in Guilford, Conn., returned to the IMCA sponsorship ranks in 2010 after a nine-year absence.
"A good percentage of our racers use Moroso components in some form and their support has been valuable not only for those drivers, but for IMCA in the rules writing process as well,” said Kevin Yoder, director of marketing for IMCA. “We trust their products and our members should have the same faith in the Moroso name."
Information about Moroso-manufactured products sold by high performance shops, engine builders and mail order companies across the United States and Canada is available by calling 203 453-6571 and at the www.moroso.com website.
Certificates to redeem the Moroso awards will be mailed after point standings become official in October.
