March 5 (Clarksville, TN) Round 2 of the 2005 Northern All-Star Late Model Series 2005 opening weekend brought the touring series to Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN for the 1st Annual Tuccassee Toilet Bowl Classic sponsored by Lester Ellis Plumbing and it's $10,000 payday to the winner. When it was all said and done Billy Moyer of Batesville, Arkansas had drove his Pro Power CJ Rayburn Race Car's Chevy Monte Carlo to the victory.

The 50 car field was split into 4 twelve lap heat races each transferring 4 to the main event. Heat one saw pole sitter Don O'Neal jump to the early lead but with three laps to go Steve Barnett got by to claim the win. Shannon Babb, fast qualifier Billy James, and Kyle Roderick rounded out the top 5. Billy Moyer grabbed the early lead in the second heat but had to hold off a determined Dennis Erb to seal the victory. Tony Morris, John VanDenberg, and Mike Hammerle rounded out the top 5. Dale McDowell led flag to flag in the 3rd heat beating Chuck Proctor, Tony Albright, Scott James, and Jeep VanWormer to the stripe. The fourth heat saw some intense action as Randy Weaver and Matt Taylor battled hard for the lead for several laps before Taylor slipped up out of two collecting Steve Francis. Francis was able to continue but Taylor was done for the event. In the end it was Weaver followed by Randle Sweeney, Francis, Steve Hillard, and Wayne Chinn. There would be 2 last chance races transferring two from each. Timothy Hamburg and Kevin Cole transferred from the first with Jeep VanWormer and Patrick Duggan transferring from the second. Michael England, Duane Chamberlain, Richard Frost, and Joey Lingauer were added as provisionals to complete the 24 car field.

Randy Weaver jumped to the early lead in the 50 lap main event while Steve Barnett and Dale McDowell battle for second with Billy Moyer locked in a dual with Don O'Neal for 4th. By the 5th lap Weaver had stretched the lead to a comfortable margin with Barnett, McDowell, and Moyer in pursuit. Things started getting a little interesting on the 9th circuit as McDowell went past Barnett in three and four and Moyer followed suit in 1 and 2. The leaders reached slower traffic on the 13th circuit and Moyer used this opportunity to get by McDowell and closed in on the leader by passing him on the 17th circuit. By the half way point Moyer was proving to be the class of the field as he had a 15 car length lead on Weaver who was followed by McDowell, Barnett and an intense battle for 4th between Steve Francis and Dennis Erb. A late caution slowed the field with 6 laps remaining but no one was able to mount a challenge to Moyer as he cruised through the final 6 laps to victory. Following him to the stripe were Weaver, McDowell, Barnett, Francis, Erb, Hillard, Babb, VanWormer, and Sweeney.

A laughing Moyer when presented with the unusual trophy for the event, a toilet bowl with a wooden seat with the words "1st Annual Tucassee Toilet Bowl Classic 1st Place wrote on the lid, said "He hadn't ever received a trophy quite like that in his career." and then he sat upon it for some victory photos. Moyer's sponsors include Banner Valley Hauling, J&J Steel, Platinum Motors, Petroff Towing, Watters Auto Land, McCarthy's One Hour Heating & Conditioning, and Red Line Oil.
