Mt. Vernon is officially opening

Rick and Bev have made it official down on the Mt.Vernon thread under tracks. They will be opening May 1st. And they will be selling Beer. Hope to see a goood turn out. See ya all there.

That place is a dump, the only thing they have going for them is the go-cart track, the racing is horrible! Dust Bowl USA

Ive seen quite a few great races there. With the way the economy is going, I wouldnt be knocking any track willing to open. JMO of your opinion.

squirrel ur unreal.That track is a very good older track.Most drivers that go there love the place.and how can u talk about a track if u havent been there in 5 yrs.rick did all he could to keep that place open for the racers even when he was taking a 3,000 dollar loss every saturday.any track open these days is a good track in my book.The Mad Monkey Motorsports modified will be there.

also they have a couple big races for mods and sprints this year i heard! at Least the extra cash will help some drivers. Have you seen the purse payout this year! it one of the highest around. Good Luck Mt. Vernon hope you get a good crowd and a huge car count!

Havent been there in years but no beer never stoped me from going. One could tell when me and my friends were there because at the end of the night leaving the parking lot you would need to drive around the pile of cans, LOL

if they dont have superlate models there on a regular basis, then that track will not last long with or without BEER.

Beer don't make a track. Even though I'm sure it would help that crap hole. It won't last... BUT... good for them and the efforts!!!

superlates pulled 12 -14 on good night cant pay the big purse with 12? I do believe Rick has had the bleachers checked and repaired afterall it was my Mother and Father that fell through them some years back .Rick has had his people walk the bleachers and make repairs I Know

Do you people on here like any track because you bash every track around if you don't like a track just don't go there I for one like all tracks because I love dirt track racing.
