For 2004 season, the rules meeting will be Tuesday December 23, o3, at the Rolland W. Lewis building in Mt. Vernon. This is at the city park at 27th & logan. What we will be looking at is a tire rule on SB Late models, changing bomber rules, so that we are more in line with other tracks, 4- cly rules some changes there, possibly letting 4 cyl trucks running in this class, and would consider a super street class, if there is enough support at this meeting. Thank you, Mgm of MVN Raceway. Any questions call Rick at ricks towing in MVN.

I cant make the meeting, but would like to see Mt. Vernon run sportsman or super streets a few times next year. I think the Summer Nationals show on a Thursday might bbe a good time, I would be there.

new rule in late model?

is there gonna be a new rule in the aluminium block late model's about anyone who tries to pass rodney melvin get's black flagged i was just wondering?

not again

are you one of the poor souls that are gonna whip this dead hose again? my goodness he won all over the midwest this year. You must be one of the guys or a fan of one of the guys he smoked all year. try whining about english winning at paducha all year or burwell at belclaire i feel soory for any one that says anything about mt vernon because they always get guys like you and dirt hound saying negative crap about rodney. to all you people who wanted to read about rules meeting i apologize but rodneys kin folk and i will defend him to ignorance every time. Its sad that late modlel digist writes an article about rodney and it mostly referes to you #^&*heads that bad mouth him!! keep your head up hot rod, what will all the naysayers have to say this year now that someone besides rick owns the track..

Yes the rules meeting will be in Mt. Vernon. At Mt. Vernon city park, Dec. 23rd at 7 pm. Hornet drivers should attend, bomber drivers should also attend, as there will be several changes in this class. All SBLM drivers that want to have a say in the tire ruls, should attend this meeting. My family & I wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year. We are pleased to announce a new partner at the MVN Raceway. His name is Jim Scott, and is a local business man. His goals and ideas are more in line with MVN aceways goals. We are currently putting together a sponsership package, where we will start with $10,000 in the points fund, and the point fund will build with 50 percent of the 50/50 money going in each week. top 5 in each class will recieve money, 6-10 plaques. Dave Wisdom is no longer associated with MVN Raceway any longer. Again Merry Christmas & Happy New Year . Rick Heck

Rick, who are you considering aligning the bomber rules with, what is being considered? I was told possible any carb rule, hedders, beadlocks, possible different trans rule, give us an idea.

What part of which track do you plan on going for? It will be almost impossible to align with highland, with their head and block restriction and track cam, the four barrel will make it harder for us to go to different tracks, such as brownstown which seems to be the most popular, AKA their special nights that can draw 30+ cars and their several big shows that have drawn around 70 cars. From the drivers I have talked to keeping the two barrells, e-mods, adding hedders, beadlocks seems to be the smartest, most economical way to go for the racers who already support the track week in and out.
