Farmington , MO (September 15) -- Kasey Nations, Park Hills , MO , pulled off a rare feat. He won both the Pure Street and Modified Features Saturday night at St Francois County Raceway.

Pure Street Division Winner Kasey Nation had to outlast several challenges by his team mate Chris Boyd and Josh Skaggs to win the main event. Nations was driving a Bill Ames owned machine. Two caution periods slowed the event. Nation was followed by Boyd, Dave Wofford, Mike Savage and Brian Blair for top five honors.

Modified Division once again found Kasey Nation in the Winners Circle . From his third row starting position, Nations had little trouble getting to the front.

Matt Eaton, Park Hills , MO , would jump out to the early lead. After leading the race for several laps. Matt settled for a runner-up finish. Adam Parmeley, Cadet, MO., came out in strong form and ran well the entire event, he would place third. Shannon Blair and Jeremy Greenwalt round out the top five.

The big story in the Modified Division, however, is the 2007 Points Chase. Going into the night, Brent Thompson, Park Hills , MO and Billy Smith, also from Park Hills , MO were separated by only 2 points. Smith placed second in his heat and Thompson did not. This would hand the points lead over to Smith. Thompson had to qualify for the Main Event the hard way. Through the Consolation Race.

All looked good for Smith to assume a big lead as they headed for the finale next week. Not so. Smith was in close racing quarter and made contact with another car. This resulted in a caution as he had a flat tire. Having time to make the change, he returned to the track. He would now find himself running with Thompson and the end of the pack.. Thompson and Smith had their own little battle going on for position. Thompson finished 12th and Smith 13th. Points will be updated as soon as we get them on our website. WWW.SFCR-ONLINE.com.

Sprint Division also has a close race in their points battle. Joey Montgomery, Fredericktown , MO and Tommy Worley, Jr, Farmington , MO were separated by a few points coming to the evenings events. These two driver would hound each other in the heat, dash, and Feature. Montgomery prevailed in each, as he finished one spot ahead in each and gained valuable points for the title.

In the Sprint Feature Montgomery had a dominating car and worked as a master in lapped traffic. Taking which ever road was open to him, and took advantage. On the start Montgomery , Worley and Steve Short, Farmington , MO pulled out to the front. Only to have the start called back as Shane Wade, Herrin , IL and Randy Stilley, Marion , IL getting together. Both cars would be out. One other caution slowed the event.

Montgomery , Worley, Tom Dickerman, Jason Hunt and Short finished in the top 5.

POWRi 600 Multi found their point leader on the sidelines with mechanical problems. This would allow all behind him to gain ground in the standings. Brandon Nixon had to watch as 11 other drivers competed in the feature. Nixon did not receive any points for the night. Second place Ryan Kempin, Catawissa , MO did gain ground but, it appears Nixon will win the Championship next week.

The Feature event was ran with limited cautions and Bobby Lynn, Jacksonville , IL taking the checker for the second time this season. Kempin, who was in a position to challenge for the win, did 360’s at each end of the track on the same lap. He would retire his mount after the second spin. Lynn, Jeff Wurst, Tom Sydnor, HRE and Jeremy Boyer make up the top5.
