Camargo, IL (4-5-2009) by Kelly Brown – Public Relations Director – Usually when the North meets the South there is a clash; it doesn’t matter if it is rival high schools teams or Michigan going up against North Carolina for the Final Four. There will be not be an exception to this rule as the O'Reilly Midwest All Stars will be facing off against the IRA Outlaw Sprint Series at Wilmot Raceway on June 6th for the North/South 410 Showdown.
This will be an historic date for the Midwest All Stars as the series makes its first excursion to Wisconsin. This showdown will bring the series to a whole new fan base, while still staying true to the Midwest roots of the series. It will also give fans a chance to see their favorite Midwest All Stars face off against the IRA Outlaws to see which series will come out on top.
"We are very excited to be bringing the series to a new state and hopefully a new group of sprint car fans," stated Scott Petit O'Reilly Midwest All Stars Series Director. "This format should be exciting for fans as they will get to see the two series compete on a single track. We are looking forward to this showdown as our drivers will be able to take on the best from the IRA. Hopefully this landmark event will continue to expand 410 sprint car racing in the Midwest, especially Wisconsin."
