Paducah International Raceway hosts the Wolf Pack Challenge and Jersey night this Friday

(Paducah, KY.) It’s time to run with the pack. The UMP Wolf Pack Challenge will return to Paducah International Raceway this Friday night on Jersey Night. Anyone 16 years of age and under wearing their team jersey will be admitted free of charge to the night’s racing activities.

The Wolf Pack Challenge will feature the high-powered open wheel UMP modifieds in a $1000 to win special. Now in it’s 6th year of running, the Wolf Pack Challenge will bring out the best in local and touring drivers from Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, and Indiana.

21 drivers will take to the high-banks of PIR looking to pick up the win and the champion’s part of the purse. Drivers that qualify for the feature will receive $125 to start. Local drivers Jeff Elliott, Lucas Lee, Todd Miller, Tim Ellington, Ricky Waggoner and Michael Atkins are all primed and ready for victory. Craig Conyer is currently leading the point battle for the Wolf Pack Challenge.

Also in the racing action are the UMP Late Models and Pure Stocks. The CARS Crate Late Models, Vintage cars will be making a return visit to PIR to race on the high-banks and the always wild 4-Cylinder Warriors will be racing on the 1/5th mile track at PIR.

Five-race fans attending this weeks stock car racing action will have the chance to register for a 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup to be given away to one lucky fan who have their names qualified at the PIR. The PIR Chevrolet Silverado Sunset Promotion runs through September 7th, 2007 when the grand prize will be given away.


NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located off Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
