Not to sound like a broken record because we are running out of adjectives to describe the Pitt's Homes "A" Modifieds but they were awesome, again. Sunday night over 40 of them rolled through the back gates to run in support of the World of Outlaws.

"We have called on the "A" Mods to help support nearly all of our big races this season," said Kevin Greven, General Track Manager. "They have answered every time with racing that practically steals the show."

Last year's class champion Rex Merritt held off this Season's Class Champion Jamie Ragland and visited the AAA Winner's Circle for the second time in 2008. Ragland has been awesome all season and even though we still have one points race left, he has officially wrapped up the point chase.

David Hendrix was third with Rylan Long finishing in 4th. Rylan was our 2007 ULMA Class champ and is currently leading the points in Late Models with just one race remaining. Rylan's 4th place debut in an "A" Mod was impressive especially with the awesome field of drivers we had on hand.

Fifth and sixth place went to our hard charges on the night, James McMillin and Todd Kallweit. Both raced their way into the Feature from the "B" Mains and then fought their way to the front. Jimmy Dowell, Tony Jackson Jr. (also in through the "B"s), Aaron Poe, and Dean Willie rounded out the top 10.

The Pitt's Homes "A" Modifieds are back in action this Saturday night in our rain delayed season finale. Although Ragland is our Champion, things gets wild from second place back with only 11 points separating the next 3 positions.

It's Hickory County Night at the Speedway this Saturday, for more information log on to www.LucasOilSpeedway.com
