Poplar Bluff Speedway Releases Basic 2006 Schedule

POPLAR BLUFF -- The Poplar Bluff Speedway has released it's basic 2006 racing schedule and it features some outstanding special events to go along with the track's regular racing program.
The season begins on March 11th with Play Day with the regular season opener set for the following weekend on March 18th.
There will be a Friday night show on March 31st featuring the ASCS sprint cars during the Spring Sprint Car Shootout. Modifieds and Pure Streets will also participate in the event.
On May 13th the MARS "Clash of Champions" comes to PBS. Then on May 26-27 the "Monster Truck Nationals" will be held.
On Tuesday, June 6th, Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader will be at PBS during "NASCAR Night," with Modifieds, Pure Streets and Late Models all participating.
On June 10th it's "Briggs & Stratton Night" with all classes racing.
On June 15th, 16th and 17th it's the "Super Street Stock Twin 25s."
The UMP Late Models come to PBS on Friday, June 30th during the Summer Nationals. There will also be a big fireworks expositions. $10,000 to win for the Late Models and $1,000 to win for the Modifieds and Pure Streets.
On July 13th, 14th and 15th, PBS will host the "Summer Modified Triple Crown."
The "Coca-Cola Night" will be held on July 22nd with $1,000 to win for the Coca-Cola Super Streets.
In August, the "Cruiser 1000" will be held on August 5th with the Ken-Ten Truck and Tractor Pull set for August 11th and the Legal Demolition Derby set for August 12th.
The ASCS sprints return to PBS on August 19th for the Summer Sprint Car Shootout.
On September 1st, MARS returns along with all the regular classes for a special Friday night show. There will be no racing at PBS on Sept. 2nd.
The ASCS Sprint Cars return for their final time during the 2006 season on September 9th.
On September 22nd and 23rd the "Moto-Cross Extreme X Games" will be held at PBS, and then on September 30th the "Dwarf 1000."
