I am so ticked at myself - stayed home from Belleville and Farmington ... and now it looks like all this rain is breaking up

Same here. I have non-racing plans the next two Saturday nights so didn't want to get stuck with a raincheck I couldn't use (plus gas for the 150-200 mile round trip depending on track). Planning on the Gold Crown Thursday & Friday, hoping for good weather those nights.

You two point out the exact reason that tracks cancel early if it looks like rain.. You are just two of no telling how many people the rain scared off.

Not trying to single you two out...

So many people throw huge fits and bad mouth tracks because they cancel early.. If you are left holding a rain check, your only out $15 - $20.. I bet the show at Belle-Clair tonight lost thousands of dollars because they elected to race and so many fans didn't want to take the chance with the weather.

1) I've never bad mouthed a track for canceling early. It's a business and I want to see these promoters/owners business succeed. I don't want to see closed tracks!
2) I never saw anything about Belleville deciding to move up the schedule, I'm sure I just missed it somewhere. In a weather deal like last night, I don't think anyone should be critical of I55 canceling early AND I don't think anyone should be critical of fans deciding to hold off going to the track with a weather forecast and radar like there was a 5p.

I'm not pointing you out for doing this.. I was just using you guys as an example for why tracks cancel early.. You go to a lot of races and the chance of rain kept you home.

Weather (or possible chance of) did cause a lower car count and fans in the stands. However, the races were moved fast and the whole show got over about 9:15 P.M. Was still a good show and the last for 2013 at Belle Clair.
