Props to UMP

Got to give props to UMP. There is around 2 weeks before the first race around here, and there still isn't any local track amendments to the bmod class. They put the rules out early Fall last year and they stood by them. Looking forward to a competitive year in this class. Kudos.

I suggest you take a peek at Tri Citys B Mod rules. I could be mistaken, and maybe they aren't UMP, but they had some dandy amendments.

And UMP will change their stance on roller rockers I would bet. They stand to lose a lot of cars.

At least everyone that changed their cars to meet the rules that UMP spelled out did not spend money un-wisely. I have seen a lot of people make changes to make their cars legal, and then 2 weeks before the season, they come out and say, "oh by the way, we can run those parts now". I hate some of the rules, but at least they are there this year and no one is changing them right before the season.

According to the rules meeting at highland, roller rocker arms are approved for Bmods

I know that but not knowing if this may be my last year I thought bout running I-55 and bellclair a night or two--as a B mod---but I will run as a A mod and be in the fast cars way----

I was told by a board member that they were going by the UMP rule book, and was given a link to go to. It doesn't say anything about roller rockers being allowed.

Well tri city runs b mods ump was supposed to be a sport mod class that was created after b mods have been around for years and even had more open rules.
