Racing at the Highland Speedway for Saturday, August 4, 2012 has been canceled due to the excessive heat in the forecast. The cancelation is due to multiple reasons. The excessive heat is our main concern, as there were several heat related incidents at events during fair week that the paramedics tended to. Later starting times are not an option due to the city’s curfew. We also took the opportunity to use some of the extra equipment that was available to us to use fair week to work on improving the track and we are hoping for some much needed rainfall while the track is opened up.
We will resume racing at Highland Speedway on Saturday, August 11, 2012 featuring Lee’s Loan & Fine Jewelry Diamond Dig and AgriGold Night at the Races.

Saturday, September 15, 2012 Championship Night at Highland Speedway featuring the Becker Jewelers Late Models, Steve Schmitt Modifieds, Miller Lite Crates, SportMods, Bombers, & Hornets! Who will come out on top in the Modifieds, Crates, & Bombers for the 2012 season? It is also second chance night for the Pick 3. All the non winning Pick 3 tickets are thrown in a pot and one lucky winner will take home $100 from Affordable Roofing, must be present to win the second chance drawing!

Saturday, September 29, 2012 Come out and help us celebrate Highland’s 175th Jubilee featuring the Gateway Vintage Cars, KidzMods, & Quarter Midgets!! Along with rides in with the Vintage Cars and in the Ride Car! We will be opening up the pits and welcoming everyone to come down and meet the drivers and check out the cars up close and personal!!! General Admission & Pit Passes are only $5.00, kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission. All children entering the pits must be supervised by an adult! Anyone entering the infield and riding in a ride car must sign insurance waivers, anyone under the age of 18 must have parents and/or guardians present to sign minor waivers and release forms.
