FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 6, 2006) Rain has been playing havoc with the racing program at the St. Francois County Raceway by either raining out the entire program or a portion of the program.
Saturday night track officials were able to race the rained-out Sprint Car and Modified features from April 22nd, but that was all they were able to complete as once again Mother Nature sent her spring showers to force the cancellation of the rest of the show.
In the Sprint Feature, Tommy Worley Jr. of Farmington was the winner with Keith Burch of Farmington second, Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown third, Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown fourth and Nathan Higgins fifth. They were followed by Bob Thoman, Billy Smith, Danny Long, Gene "Tubby" Black and Jason Keith.
In the first heat race, Steve Short was the winner with Keith second and Jim Brayton Jr. third. Dustin Adams won the second heat with Burch second and Jason Hunt third. Tim Montgomery won the third heat with Worley Jr. second and Joey Montgomery third. Tim Montgomery won the trophy dash with Worley second and Keith third. (Note: all of the heat races and the dash were raced on April 22nd).
In the Modified feature make-up from April 22nd, Kenny Kennedy of Farmington was the winner with Brent Thompson of Farmington second, Billy Smith of Park Hills was third, Kasey Burch of Farmington was fourth and Jeremy Greenwalt of Potosi was fifth. They were followed by Danny Resinger, Tommy Worley Sr., Kasey Nations, Eric Edgar and Doug DeClue.
In the first heat race, Kennedy was winner with Thompson second and Chris Boyd third. Burch won the second heat with Resinger second and Leo Kiefer third. Smith won the third heat with Kenny Harris second and Greenwalt third. Nations won the "B" main with Randy Forster second and Brad McKinnon third. (The heat races and the "B" main were held April 22nd).
