BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (Sept. 4-5) Jimmy Bealmear of Mexico, Mo. set a new ET record time of 2.626 seconds over the 300-foot sand drag track in his Open 4x4 to highlight the racing action over the weekend at Big River Sand Drags. The time was just .015 second from setting a new national record. Bealmear set the new record during the second night of the two day event. Here's a recap of the results from both nights of racing.
On Saturday, there were a record number 136 racers taking part in the festivities.
In Junior ATV, Whitney Dee of Leadwood was the first place winner with Triston Hillyard taking second place and winning the top eliminator race.
In ATV-1, Kyle Brown was the first place winner with second place winner Lindsey Hayes of Pilot Knob winning the top eliminator race.
In Pro ATV, Dale Bates Sr. was the first place winner, but Rick Finney of St. Louis captured second place and top eliminator.
In Super Pro ATV, John Conner was the first place winner with Ziggy Ziegler taking second place and top eliminator.
In Vehicle ET, Troy Horton of Hillsboro was the first place and top eliminator winner with Gladys Edwards of Bonne Terre taking second place.
In Competition Eliminator, Brad Lunn of Pacific was the first place winner with Steve Barton of Bonne Terre taking second place and top eliminator.
In Open 4x4, Dustin Griffin was the top eliminator and first place winner with Terry Wies of Wentzville taking second place.
In Off Road Modified, Todd Dee of Leadwood was the top eliminator and first place winner with James Casteel taking second place.
In Stock Buggy, Jeremy Sutton of Park Hills was the top eliminator and first place winner with Willie Thurman taking second place.
In racing action on Sunday, Gage Knight was the top eliminator and first place winner in Junior ATV while Kayle Dickens of Bonne Terre finished in second place.
In ATV-1, Allie Glatczak of Potosi was the first place winner with Sarah Lunn of Pacific winning second place and the top eliminator race.
In Pro ATV, Tanya Cunningham of Hartford, Ill. was the top eliminator and first place winner with Allie Glatczak of Potosi taking second place.
In Super Pro ATV, Jason Waller of Bonne Terre was the top eliminator and first place winner with Kyle Bates of Festus taking second place.
