Results from the St. Francois County Raceway from May 8th

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 8, 2004) The St. Francois County Raceway (SFCR) may have a new promoter, but Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown is still the man to beat in the Sprint Car class. Montgomery has won the last three track championships at SFCR and Saturday night he opened up right where he left off by taking the checkered flag in the feature. Jay Landolt captured second place with Jason Keith third, Joey Montgomery fourth and Tommy Worley Jr. fifth. They were followed by Jimmy Hurley, Bryan Mathews, Keith Burch, Bob Thoman and Derek O'Dell. Joey Montgomery won the first heat race with Hurley second and Thoman third. Worley won the second heat with Landolt second and Mathews third. Keith won the third heat with O'Dell second and A.J. Bruns third. Jeff Davis won the fourth heat with Timmy Montgomery second and Burch third. Worley won the trophy dash with Keith second and Hurley third. Daniel Adler won the "B" main with Kent Buckley second and Jason Hunt third. There were 38 sprints on hand.
In the Sportsmen class, Matt Eaton of Park Hills was the feature winner with Chuck Adams of Piedmont second, Doug Savage of Farmington third, Billy Mayberry fourth and Kasey Nations fifth. They were followed by Randy Forster, Donnie Mosier, Charles Adams, Leonard Betsch and Mark Howell. Chuck Adams won the first heat with Savage second and Eaton third. Kevin Mosier won the second heat with Greg Stumbaugh second and Mayberry third. Chuck Adams won the trophy dash with Kevin Mosier second and Stumbaugh third.

In the Modified class, Billy "the Kid" Smith of Park Hills picked up the feature win with Mike Crader second, Timmy Hill third, Jeremy Greenwalt fourth and Brent Thompson fifth. They were followed by Mike Francis, Adam Parmley, Lou Driemier, Kenny Kennedy and Brad Long. Crader won the first heat with Long second and Francis third. Hill won the second heat with Smith second and Parmley third. Greenwalt won the third heat with Thompson second and Driemier third. Kennedy won the "B" main with Jim Fisher second and Bill Long third. Hill won the trophy dash with Crader second and Smith third.

In the 600cc Multi class, Travis Senter picked up the checkered flag in the feature with Brad Loyet second, Clayton Robertson third, Dustin Barks fourth and Joey Boyd fifth. They were followed by Casey Barnhouse, David Chilton, Jeremy Boyer, Austin Brown and Lance McKinney. Senter won the first heat with McKinney second and Nixon third. Robertson won the second heat with Jimmy McClain Jr. second and Barks third. Jason Kennedy won the third heat with Loyet second and Barnhouse third. Senter won the trophy dash with McKinney second and Robertson third. Todd Frolik won the "B" main.
Following the races it was announced that all classes will go back to using the cone for restarts on the back straight.
