FARMINGTON, Mo - (May 29, 2004) Jimmy Hurley captured the checkered flag Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway during Sprint Car feature. Jerrod Hull finished in second place with Lee Dunn third, Ronnie Standridge fourth and Robbie Standridge fifth. They were followed by Bob Thoman, Timmy Montgomery, Joey Montgomery, Tommy Worley Jr. and Kent Buckley.
Bryan Matthews won the first heat with Hull second and Buckley third. Robbie Standridge won the second heat with Hurley second and Worley third. Ronnie Standridge won the third heat with Thoman second and Jeremy Standridge third. Dunn won the fourth heat with Joey Montgomery second and Daniel Adler third. Dunn won the trophy dash with Robbie Standridge second and Hurley third. Rod Crabdree won the "B" main with Timmy Montgomery second and Steve Short third.
In the Modified class, Kenny Kennedy won the feature race with Jim Fischer second, Tommy Worley Sr. third, Mike Crader fourth and John Bohn fifth. They were followed by Adam Parmeley, Mitch Parmeley, Eddie Gross, R.C. Hovis and Joe Kopp.
Fischer won the first heat race with Worley Sr. second and Danny Resinger third. Mike Francis won the second heat with Billy Smith second and Hovis third. Crader won the third heat with Chris Boyd second and Adam Parmeley third. Joe Giesler won the "B" main with Ryan Gegg second and John Bohn third.
In the Sportsmen class, Chuck Adams of Piedmont was the feature winner with Matt Eaton second, Leonard Betch third, Kenny Harris fourth and Kevin Mosier fifth. They were followed by Doug Savage, Billy Mayberry, Donnie Mosier, Kasey Nations and Charles Adams.
Betsch won the first heat with Eaton second and Mayberry third. Chuck Adams won the second heat with Billy Ames second and Kevin Mosier third.
In the 600cc Multi feature, Casey Barnhouse picked up the victory with Jimmy Bridgeman second, Tyler Robbins third, Junior Ferguson fourth and Lance McKinney fifth. They were followed by Tom Dickerman, Gabe Maycock, Matt Dotson, David Chilton and Brian Keen.
Barnhouse won the first heat with Bridgeman second and Maycock third. Joey Boyd won the second heat with Dotson second and McKinney third.
The second day of the scheduled two-day event was rained out.
Racing action at the St. Francois County Raceway continues this Saturday night with Parker Banks Chevrolet Night. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. There will also be a special "race" for the kids.
