(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) Rick Eckert and his #24 team jumped back on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series trail from May 25-27 in a trio of high-profile races in the states of Ohio and West Virginia. On Friday night, the 'Buckeye Classic' at the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio kicked things off and a $10,000 top prize was on the line. Rick timed in twenty-second fastest in WOOLMS qualifying and later ran second in his heat race. After drawing the eighth starting spot prior to the start of the 50-lapper, Rick hung around the top ten en route to a steady ninth place performance.

The dirt-slinging action then turned to the Mountaineer State of West Virginia for a pair of events at the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne and the I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley. On Saturday at Tyler County, Rick ran fourth in his heat race, grabbed the second transfer spot in his B-Main, and later moved past fifteen competitors in the $25,000 to win 'Jackpot 100' on his way to another ninth place effort.

In the $10,000 to win weekend finale at I-77 on Sunday, "Scrub" finished fifth in his loaded heat race prior to advancing past eight cars in the 50-lapper. The York, Pennsylvania native, who currently sits second in the series point standings, finished fifth in the 'Ripley RaceFest' behind surprise winner Chris Garnes, Dale McDowell, Tim Dohm, and Chub Frank.
